the musical label/genre singer/songwriter is pretty much just lazy/bullshit speak. yet its caught on, and i use it all the time. cause i am forever lazy. i am not too sure what it’s supposed to convey? i suppose its pretty obvious, but also pretty fuckin generic. generic is understandable, relateable and maybe thats why it has stuck. regardless, of the label and generic there is no greater solo artist performing today than richard buckner. other than jeff buckley, i have not come across an artist that can convey more emotion in a single note, vocal or otherwise. he lays his soul out for all to see, even if it is hidden behind sometimes cryptic lyrics. still, richard music meant to be heard and felt.

damn, people its 7.30 in the pm here in atlanta and its already almost dark. yet its still humid as hell. its kind of that in between temperature, where its not hot enough for the air, but the humidity makes having the windows open a wee bit uncomfortable. luckily, i dont think we even came close to triple digits this summer, but still had to keep that air on from pretty much april through september. i welcome the fall, although with our upcoming move to new orleans i dont know how much of a fall we are going to see. if we can at least avoid having to evacuate until next year that would be kinda awesome.
i am going to post a shitty narrated podcast sometime tomorrow.
so, here’s a very small sampler of stuff thats going to be coming out this fall. more or less, its stuff that i found at least half way interesting. an entire record, may be an entirely different story.
i want someone bail my ass out. seriously, it wont cost nearly all that much, and it will relieve me and my family of some unneeded stress. i think i am going to bring this up to my local congressman to see if can get a bill passed or something…
in what may go down as the worst narrated podcast in podcasting history, here is the words and guitar podcast which is eloquently titled, redemption is a son of a bitch. as you come to find out, my voice is rather monotone and quite frankly, unappealing. next scheduled podcast will be tuesday.
sometime last week during the neverending lhc doomsday reports, cory branan’s “tall green grass” came on during one of said newscasts. it caused me to get this strange kubrick inspired vision of the world becoming engulfed in a slow rolling blaze but all the while “tall green grass” was acting as its soundtrack. it was actuall more humorous than it sounds. it was as if the earth was giving the human race a big fuck you and just wanted to be a wee bit ironic. got me thinkin bout some pre-apocalyptic stuff i would put on if i knew it was all comin to an end. grab a beer, smoke a joint, and dream about the tall green grass…
